Quality Engineer
The Company is seeking to engage a Quality Engineer
-
to provide Quality Assurance and Control input into a range of projects for a variety of clients in the areas of construction and the manufacture of construction products and systems;
-
to project manage applications for third-party certifications of construction products and systems;
-
to carry out inspection and auditing of manufacturers and contractors in accordance with the latest applicable standards;
-
to assess and carry-out gap analyses on client Quality Documentation and Factory Production Control processes and procedures;
-
to prepare new FPCs;
-
to prepare Declarations of Performance and CE marks for construction products;
-
to develop and implement processes, procedures and instruction to sustain and improve the Quality Management System;
-
to support management in the development and implementation of quality systems strategies and objectives;
-
to perform other quality related tasks internally and externally.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with certification as a Quality Engineer;
-
Appropriate Lead Auditor qualification;

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering field
Auto CAD Technician
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Prepare 2-D drawings & schedules.
-
Review External Consultants drawings to extract the necessary information required to complete the associated element of work assigned.
-
Produce drawing registers and maintain in house document control systems.
-
Comply with relevant office standards and safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.
-
Liaise with other members of the Design Team and with External Consultants if and when required.
-
Issue drawings and documents to the Production Team or External Consultants via a variety of different platforms; e.g. Dropbox, FTP sites etc.
Skills/Attributes:
-
Minimum of 1-2 years post qualification experience in a structural design office or construction / building company.
-
Highly proficient in AutoCAD.
-
An understanding of building structures.
-
Excellent work ethic.
-
Can adhere to CAD standards, Document Control, Codes of Practice, Design Standard and Health and Safety Regulations.

Clear and concise presentation skills.

Ability to work on one’s own initiative.

40 hour working week (8.30-5.30)
Structural Engineering Technician
Some of your role responsibilities as Structural Engineering Technician will include -
-
Production of structural designs primarily associated with cold formed steel and structural steel elements.
-
Production of technical details using AutoCAD.
-
Assisting Senior Structural Engineers as required.
-
Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants.
-
Providing design office support to production departments.
-
Assisting with drawing queries from Estimating Department and commercial staff on technical matters.
-
Ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance and Management Systems and with relevant Health and Safety Legislation
To be considered for this exciting role you must have -
-
Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role with experience of structural steel and cold formed steel design
-
Experience with structural software such as Tedds and Masterseries and proficiency in MS Excel
-
3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil/Structural Engineering
-
Knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards as well as current Building Regulations
-
Strong time-management skills with ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently
-
Experienced operator of AutoCAD
-
Registered member of Engineers Ireland and/or Institution of Structural Engineers beneficial but not essential.
-
Experience in the offsite sector would be beneficial.
