Business Development Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction or engineering industry, be familiar with the MMC/Offsite sector, and will have a proven track record in business development and sales. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of driving growth and expanding our client base across our diverse range of services.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on both MMC and traditional construction methods.

Client Acquisition: Identify potential clients and projects, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and secure new business through effective sales and negotiation techniques.

Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Use this information to adjust strategies and stay ahead in the market.

Proposal Development: Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in collaboration with the technical team.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Economics (Estimating), Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the construction or engineering industry. Experience with MMC is highly desirable.

Project Engineer for
Construction Products
We are currently recruiting a Project Engineer for Construction Products on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing multiple building systems and products. These include offsite construction/MMC panelised and modular building systems manufactured from light gauge steel, hot rolled steel, concrete, ICF, and timber, along with new construction products.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Conduct technical assessments on innovative construction products.

Provide guidance on UK and Ireland Building Regulations to Evolusion clients.

Provide technical advice to clients re innovative building systems, and their ability to meet legislative requirements.

Facilitate and supervise building product or system testing on behalf of Clients.

Develop innovative construction products and building systems for Evolusion clients to meet their brief.

Assist clients achieve certification of their products/building systems

Assist with implementation of product development strategies for new and existing Clients.

Structural Engineers
We are currently recruiting Structural Engineers on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their engineering skills to the design, development and delivery of projects for our clients whilst also working with the in-house team continuing to grow their own experience and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of construction technologies including 2D panelised and 3D modular systems.
Key responsibilities and tasks:

Interacting with project design teams on live projects.

Following the Evolusion management systems.
-
Undertaking concept designs on a wide variety of buildings as provided by the Senior Engineers.
-
Delivery of segment of work provided to them by lead manager.
-
Effective time management to allow for efficient delivery within allocated timelines.
-
Producing structural engineering calculations for typical structures.
-
Appropriately self-check their own work and that of their peers prior to issue to the senior engineering team. Support and share engineering knowledge with their peers with the approval of the senior engineering team.

Assisting Senior Engineers in the development of timescales for new projects upon request.
-
Highlight any potential variations to the senior team.
-
Attending site visits as required for inspections. Issue inspection reports.
-
Produce and issue site inspections in respect of BCAR. Aid to the senior engineer in the review and sign off of inspections.

Develop a good working knowledge of important and relevant standards and typical details.

Supporting the Evolusion team in relation to ongoing projects as a Structural Engineer.

Develop knowledge in the area of MMC technologies and applications and continued CPD of new systems and developments in the industry.

Develop knowledge in relation to applicable design standards such as Eurocodes. Be active in the review of relevant standards and guidance.

Learning and build upon First Principles engineering analysis and be proactive in learning and researching the required technical information. Have ability to provide suitable hand calculations when required.

Develop knowledge in the use of the inhouse design software, commercial software, and QA processes.

Minimum Requirements:
To be successful in this role the candidate will have;

An honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Structural Engineering.

Knowledge of MMC is beneficial but not essential.

The ability to sustain positive working relationships within a team.

Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes.

Proficiency in French and/or German would be highly advantageous.
Senior Structural Engineers
We are currently recruiting Senior Structural Engineers on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in the delivery of projects for our clients. Part of the role will also include the mentoring of junior engineering staff. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of construction technologies including 2D panelised and 3D modular systems. A plan will also be in place to work towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Key responsibilities and tasks:

Develop relations with project design teams and clients.

Adherence to the Evolusion management systems

Undertaking concept designs and planning at concept stage on a wide variety of buildings of repeat clients

Delivering projects based on timeframes and budgetary requirements.

Manage the resource that have been allocated for project delivery.

Producing structural engineering calculations for a High-Risk Structures and reviewing calculations for typical structures
-
Checking of designs and drawings and other works undertaken by the team and providing feedback and coaching where necessary.

Assisting Principal Engineers in the development of timescales for new projects
-
Review of project variations and ensuring variation costs agreed.
-
Attending first and last site visits as required for inspections and issue inspection reports. Review of inspection reports by the structural team.

For BCAR related projects, ensuring that designs and inspections are carried out in accordance with inspection notification frameworks issued, and preparing final documentation to enable Ancillary certification by the Principal Engineer. Reviewing all items of inspections.

Retain a good working knowledge of important and relevant standards and typical details. Communicate to Principal Engineers and evidence that clients are developing changes to their systems.

Providing technical assistance and support as required to others in the Evolusion team, including to those within other Evolusion departments.

Working towards becoming an MMC technical expert and continued CPD of new systems and developments in the industry.

Minimum Requirements:
To be successful in this role the candidate will have;

7+ years post grad professional experience in Structural Engineering.

5+ years Structural Design experience with Steel Structures.

Extensive knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards.

Extensive experience with at least one Structural Design Software and capable to learn others smoothly.

Extensive knowledge with Steel Connections.

Experience with Steel Manufacturing requirements / drawings / procedures.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Tools. Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc.

Must be proficient with AutoCAD.

Excellent organisation, planning and time management skills, with an ability to work both under guidance and using your own initiative.
